Shops Rawtenstall offers a good selection of shops including quaint independent shops, larger household name stores and good quality specialist stores. Rawtenstall indoor and outdoor market is held on Thursday and Saturday each week. Two supermarkets are centrally located.

Sports/Family Activities Marl Pits Sports Centre provides swimming, rugby pitches, football pitches and running track. Ski Rossendale is a dry ski slope offering skiing and snowboarding. Cricket, rugby and football clubs are all a vibrant part of the community, all with club houses and good training facilities.
