English Heritage recognised Bacup as the best preserved mill town in England. Bacup is presently subject to an ongoing refurbishment scheme. Located in the east of the borough, it has over 60 listed buildings in its centre and is a conservation area of special architectural and historic interest.
Shops A variety of shops, offices, banks and supermarkets are located in the centre of the town.
Social Selection of pubs are in and around bacup. Well regarded restuarants including Italian and Chinese. The Royal Court Theatre hosts many different productions throughout the year, providing great entertainment.
