Eley Long & Co is a two office practice established early 1974, covering the Rossendale Valley, encompassing towns and villages north of Rochdale, south of Burnley, east of Accrington and west of Todmorden.

We are Rossendale's longest established and most experienced estate agency.  As at January 2014 we can claim an overall combined experience of over 250 years!  Many of the staff joined the practice as school leavers; some have been with us for in excess of 25 years.  Richard Hillel FNAEA, MARLA, the Principal joined the practice in 1977, and became its Principal in 1987.

We are longstanding members of the National Association of Estate Agents and a Licensed member of ARLA - the Association of Residential Lettings Agents.

We are a SAFEagent.  SAFE - Safe Agent Fully Endorsed - is a mark denoting firms that protect landlords and tenants money through a client money protection scheme.  Full details of the scope of the scheme can be obtained from the scheme operator.  For information on SAFEagent visit www.safeagents.co.uk.

Few agents nationally have the level of experience and expertise in residential lettings.  We are trusted and efficient. Both vendors and landlords can be assured of our service.

Situated approximately 20 miles north of the city of Manchester, the Rossendale Valley is nestled between the South Pennines and the West Pennine moors. The breathtaking countryside is not only rich in character but also easily accessible with the M66 and M65 motorway links leading to all destinations and towns close by, including Bury, Burnley and Rochdale.

Much of the valley was shaped by the Industrial Revolution, especially the textile industry, between 1837 and 1901. This being the 'Victorian' period, much of the housing portrays such character.
